Job Title: German to English Translator (office based)

Location: Milton Keynes, UK (hybrid basis)

Type: Full-time

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Role Overview: We are seeking a talented German to English Translator to join our client’s team on a full-time basis. This is an in-house translation position with great opportunity for career growth and development. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating a variety of documents, ensuring accuracy and maintaining the integrity of the original content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate German documents into English, maintaining the style, tone, and meaning of the original text
  • Proofread and edit translated content to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines
  • Conduct research when necessary to ensure accuracy of translations
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to address any queries or concerns

Requirements:

  • Native English speaker with fluency in German, or bilingual English/German proficiency
  • Experience or qualification in translation is highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate translations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively to deadlines
  • Proficiency in translation software and tools is a plus
  • Candidates who have studied German at university are encouraged to apply
