A really exciting opportunity to join a niche, employee owned investment manager in the role of Fund Accountant. It's a diverse role with plenty of exposure to senior management. The role is based in central London and paying between £50-60k depending on experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Completion of the fund daily, weekly and monthly cash and security reconciliations ensuring all exceptions are resolve within company guidelines.

  • Perform the daily and monthly fund accounting for multi-currency portfolios in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.

  • Oversight of all daily NAV tolerance reviews completed for each of the accounts/funds.

  • Oversight of all calculated fund advisory waivers, rebates and management fees.

  • Review and process daily and monthly large flows.

  • Review tax filings prepared in each relevant market prior to filing with the relevant tax authorities.

  • Assist the ongoing analysis of tax reclaims that are available by market and vehicle type and provide any assistance the Tax Forum may require.

  • Review and verify all fund distribution calculations and liaise with implementation to ensure sufficient cash flow is available.

  • Review account/fund financial statements by completing independent verification of figures and disclosures.

  • Perform oversight of all other fund administration tasks performed by the team.

  • To perform a rolling Quality Control on all accounts, reporting back to the Assistant Manager or Manager.

  • Manage and monitor the completion of the custodian reconciliations for the team. Including monitoring deadlines and allocating appropriate Quality Control personnel.

Key Skills Required

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA or qualified by experience (ideally 3-5 years)
  • Strong numberical skills
  • Tech savvy would be ideal but not necessity
  • An understanding of Fund Accounting/Administration
  • A strong team player
