Job Title: Front End Developer
Salary Up To: £40,000
My client is a global company, investing significantly in its online products and services to improve user interface and experience. Following the recent launch of their new look websites and a sharper, more energised brand, they are looking for a skilled developer to help drive forward continuous front-end improvements, and build upon the success and recognition they have achieved for their websites.
This role will offer the opportunity to:
Grow, develop and work collaboratively with internal and external teams looking to lead in our industry and stay ahead of the competition
Lead the development of the companies Design System
Ensure your knowledge and skills grow with training and support
Work closely with UX, Design and Content teams to collaboratively define and scope projects
Work in a relaxed environment in a state of the art new office
Continually innovate and introduce new ideas, techniques and technologies.
Technical Experience & Capabilities:
This role would ideally suit a front-end developer with confidence and ability in their technical skills, but also someone who is passionate about working in a highly collaborative environment with to drive improvements on their websites.
It is essential that the role holder has knowledge and experience in best practise modern web development and a passion for creating effective and engaging products. You will be aware of and prepared to work with emerging technologies and have an understanding of how they are being used in the market.
Front end tooling such as Node, SASS, Browsify, Gulp for local development
Experience working with front-end frameworks and libraries such as JQuery, Bootstrap, Material
Experience working with API’s
Experience of developing on e-commerce platforms
Working knowledge of code performance, optimisation and testing
Working knowledge of accessibility best practices
Experience of working with Git version control and deployment
Scoping of dev work - Producing technical and functional spec and communicating this to colleagues and stakeholders
Developing new components, templates and features based on changing requirements and user research.
Identifying where technical improvements can be made and creating concepts for review.
