Our Client are on the hunt for a Shift Manager with a strong electrical background to provide M&E assistance for a forever growing M&E team. Our client have been serving companies and communities across the world and are one of the UK's leading facilities management company.

Salary: Up to £55,000

Location Central London

Monday - Friday: Day shift pattern (7-4,8-5,9-6,10-7)

Main Duties

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Act as a representative of carrying out work as detailed by the Engineering Manager
  • Operational responsibility to deliver a first-class service and meeting the required KPI's/SLAs upon the contracted and reactive works
  • Act as point of contact for the Engineering team, assisting with repairs and issues
  • Provide Supervision for the technical M&E shift team
  • Plan and manage workload on shift; scheduling works based on priorities to ensure completion of PPM's / CM's and reactive work orders within defined SLA's; highlight any concerns to senior team members
  • To ensure all works are delivered on time and to the agreed specification.
  • Training the shift teams as required including delivering Toolbox talks and team briefings.
  • Management of sub-contractors working on site. This includes review of RAMs and isolations where required.
  • Complete reports and paperwork as instructed by senior team members
  • Arrange quotes in a timely manner & submit to the client in a professional manner for approval.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, specific company requirements approved by the Health & Safety Executive and the latest regulations and codes of good practice.
  • Ensure that all tasks are completed within the contractual time scales. Be knowledgeable of contract SLA's & KPI's
  • Ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to.
  • Assist the Engineering Manager in ensuring that all Statutory and Legislative requirements are achieved/adhered to for the site.
  • Ensure clients operational procedures are always adhered to.

What we are looking for

    • Minimum Level 3 qualification in relevant engineering maintenance field (e.g. City&Guild, EAL, NCQ or any other equivalent qualifications (or equivalent other qualification recognised by CITB/EITB/JIB).
    • BS7671 Electrical Regulations
    • Ability to undertake all facets of maintenance and installation requirements as required within the scope of the contract.
    • IOSH Managing safely or similar.
    • Customer care/relationship building skills.
    • Ability to work without direct supervision.
    • Ability to deal directly with customers in a professional manner and represent the company.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills with ability to simplify complex information to a variety of audiences.
