AMS is the world's leading provider of Talent Acquisition and Management Services. Our contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) service partner with NatWest to support contingent recruitment processes. On behalf of NatWest, we are looking for a Financial Crime Business Analyst on a contract until the end of the year, and the role will be based in either Manchester or Edinburgh, offering a hybrid working model.

NatWest is a major UK retail bank, providing every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.

Purpose of the Role:

As a Financial Crime Business Analyst, you will work as part of the Financial Crime Migration Project. You'll support the migration of various workstreams, including tax sanctions and transaction monitoring, from one part to another. Your role involves analysing current functions and those slated for migration, identifying areas for strategic enhancements, and ensuring alignment and integration for improved efficiency and synergy. Additionally, you'll develop process maps, support change integration into BAU, and foster positive stakeholder relationships across various functions.


As a Financial Crime Business Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Capturing, validating, and documenting business and system requirements ensuring they are in line with key strategic principles, and translating from business operations, business objectives, or from external requirements.
  • Identifying, tracking, managing, and mitigating any project Risks, Assumptions, Issues and
  • Identifying and analysing risk, issues and dependencies around transitional and future state designs and proactively highlighting to a Project Manager / Programme Manager as necessary.
  • Identifying opportunity for process automation and design solutions and processes to minimise operational inefficiencies.
  • Creating process maps and developing operating models to support change embedding into BAU.
  • Building and maintaining a positive working relationship with stakeholders across multiple
    franchises and functions and at different levels of hierarchy.

The skills you'll need:

  • Demonstrable skills and experience implementing business and technical change.
  • Previous experience working as a Business Analyst, ideally in a Financial Services / Financial Crime
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Target operating model experience.
  • Process Mapping and Business Design.
