Financial Controller

We are the UK's leading provider of Urgent Care Centres, delivering key services for NHS patients, and are seeking to appoint an engaging Financial Controller to enhance our experienced finance team at what is an exciting time for the organisation.

In this varied and interesting role you will be responsible for the day to day management of our finance function, providing support and assurances to the Finance Director and the rest of the executive management team. You will provide critical decision support, insightful business planning, tight financial cost and overhead control along with overseeing effective working capital management.

This will entail preparation of monthly management accounts and performance reports, leading on the preparation of statutory financial reporting whilst ensuring that financial controls and procedures remain effective in this growing organisation. Furthermore, you'll provide support to the FD with financial models and analysis on all new initiatives including bids, tenders, partnership agreements and investment projects. You will also have line management responsibility for a team of four finance professionals, two of whom are qualified.

To be considered for this excellent opportunity you will be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with up-to-date technical knowledge, commercially aware and educated to degree level. You will have demonstrable experience in managing the core components of a finance function, a supportive line manager, capable of building relationships with a wide range of key stakeholders and eager to excel in an ambitious organisation. This role will be business facing so the ability to see beyond the numbers is a must. Knowledge and experience within a similar organisation or of the NHS landscape, NHS contracts and multisite operations is also desirable but not essential.

A salary in the region of £65,000 (DoE) is being offered coupled with a generous benefits package, to include NHS pension with long term professional development and career progression.
