Headed by the Group Finance Director, the Finance Department consists of a team of individuals working closely together to deliver crucial financial information across all elements of the company. With ambitious plans for continued growth, the Finance Team play an active and pivotal role in aiding the organisation’s business decisions around investments and acquisitions, facilitating expansion and diversification across all business units within the Group and supplying the information needed to track the organisation’s continued impressive performance.

This is an extensive role, reporting directly to the Group FD and with broad exposure across the business. The role has responsibilities spanning across the business and its group of companies. The candidate therefore needs to have demonstrable experience of having been successful in a dynamic, diverse and high tempo business. The position is responsible for managing a team of 9 individuals, covering the functions of Management Accounts, Purchasing Ledger and Sales Ledger. Given the pace of the business within the Company, and specifically within the Finance Department, the candidate must be able to evidence having strong management skills, being task-orientated and possessing the capability to prioritise effectively. The ability to successfully complete tasks against agreed deadlines is a precursor to success in this role.

The role encompasses a wide range of activities, including:
• Line management responsibility for 9 members of staff
• Production of Management Accounts (month-end / half-year/ year-end reporting)
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Maintaining allocated balance sheet accounts
• Month end journals
• Statistical returns
• VAT Returns
• Intrastat Reporting
• EC Sales List Returns
• Liaising with Auditors
• Liaising with tax advisors
• Budgets and Forecasts
• Variance analysis
• Fixed Assets
• Expenses
• Ad-hoc projects as required

The role will entail travel to other office locations within the Group.

As with all personnel within the business, the individual will also be required to show:
