Financial Controller - FD Progression available

Elevation Senior Finance are currently looking to recruit an experienced and Financial Controller for an exciting rapidly growing business based in Leeds that has experienced double digit growth over the last 12 months.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the primary purpose of the role will be to oversee the finance and administration team and ensure the smooth operation of the accounting and admin function within the company. As well as this, the successful candidate will be required to assist the MD in business planning/strategy, supporting decision making from a financial perspective. The aim will be for the successful candidate to progress to Finance Director

Key responsibilities will include:

-Preparation of monthly financial information including detailed management accounts
-Cashflow forecasting using the complex in-house model. Leading on budgeting and forecasting, working closely with line managers and budget holders to develop annual budgets along with supporting reports to explain subsequent changes in budget requests
-Complex calculations of prepayments and accruals
-Liaise with the MD and the in-house developer to improve the cashflow model
-Liaising with bank directors for on-going finance requirements (and performing complex finance analysis to track financial covenants)
-Extensive costs analysis
-Analysing and monitoring financial covenants
-Leading on budgeting and forecasting, working closely with line managers and budget holders to develop annual budgets along with supporting reports to explain subsequent changes in budget requests
-Ensuring the Fixed assets of the Group are accurately recorded and depreciated in accordance with the Group's accounting policies
-Be fully conversant with the rules and regulations covering statutory periodic returns. Ensure internal risk controls are appropriate and enforceable
-Assisting the Managing Director in developing the company and its activities, providing financial information that can aid decision making and assisting in the identification of trends as well as implementation of performance indicators
-Proactively leading and implementing changes to processes and procedures which will improve the functionality of the administration of the company and its financial systems
-You will also be involved with the commercial side of the business and liaise with various departments across the business.

The successful candidate will require the following:

-ACMA, FCMA, ACCA, FCCA, ACA or FCA qualified
-Finance based degree (preferred)
-Highly experienced Financial Controller
-Highly experienced with Sage 50 or equivalent
-Cashflow modelling experience
-Proven ability to handle large volumes of complex data
-Technologically adept
-Highly numerate and a logical thinker
-Highly PC literate
-Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
-Intermediate level of skill with Microsoft Excel (e.g. comfortable with advanced lookups, complex data manipulation, advanced pivot tables)
-Excellent written and verbal skills
-Accuracy and attention to detail to a very high standard
-Excellent communication skills and must be proficient at communicating at director level
-Persuasive as and when necessary
