This regionally recognisable social housing provider are currently seeking a Financial Accounting Manager to join their lovely team on a permanent basis. Managing a team of four, you will be responsible for ensuring all financial controls across the organisation are robust, whilst facilitating a smooth audit process and year-end close.

The key duties of this Financial Accounting Manager are as follows:

  • Overseeing the financial accounting function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Managing the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, providing necessary documentation, and facilitating the audit process.
  • Have key oversight of the maintenance of the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate recording and depreciation calculations.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of financial professionals, providing guidance and support to foster professional growth.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Ideally achieved their full accounting qualification, or have extensive, proven experience.
  • A strong background in all things statutory accounting and audit.
  • A background in the housing sector, with a strong understanding of its financial intricacies.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Demonstrable team management skills.

This role will officially be based out of their offices in Worcestershire, although opportunities to work from home will be on offer for 3- 4 days per week.
