The postholder will be a key member of the central finance team, working closely with other members of the finance team, senior staff of the organisation.
Will be responsible for management reporting and budgeting for all activities.
Also be responsible for the management and development of finance systems and day to day management of the finance office, including line management of 3 staff.
Duties will include
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and key performance indicators
Seek to develop financial understanding of non-financial staff.
Managing financial systems to gather data and to provide accurate and timely information that enables a fast and responsive service to the organization
Management of the nominal ledger and fixed asset register, including year-end roll forward and budget posting.
System administrator for financial and reporting systems (Microsoft Dynamics GP)
Day to day management of the finance office, prioritising tasks and workload of the team and ensuring the office is run in an efficient and customer focused manner.
Line management of the finance office staff (including accounts assistant/purchase ledger staff), including performance management and objective setting.
Relevant accounting experience including the preparation of management accounts
Experience of managing a small team
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Accounting experience from an education or service background
Part Qualified ACCA ACA or CIMA (or equivalent)
