Field Support Engineer
£30,000 - £34,000 per year, company car, 4% contributory pension, 25 days holiday.
Working as part of a small team in a helpdesk environment you will be supporting both national and international distributors and dealers as part of the company’s network. You will develop, organise and deliver technical training on all the company’s products and services to technicians at the head office site in Shropshire or on location. You will be asked to assist in supervising or training technicians with the practical installation of new equipment and will report progress, quality and any issues identified to your line manager.
You will also be required to carry out practical testing of new products or systems on location and be able to communicate your findings clearly to employees of all levels. The role will involve on a rota basis, in conjunction with other team members, providing 24 hours, 7 day stand by support in case of breakdown and failure of electronic equipment and systems to clients.
Candidates need to have both electrical and mechanical knowledge with slight bias on the electrical side. It’s desirable but not essential that candidates come from an agricultural sector background and have knowledge of an additional European Language.
