External Engagement Advisor

We have an Engagement team to support our work around Valuing People and Partners and Inspiring the next generation to build and are looking for a dynamic, self-starter to join our team as External Engagement Advisor.

Key Responsibilities;

1. Support the development of a ‘Redrow’ educational offering to promote homebuilding and construction careers through various activities and interventions with particular focus on social mobility

2. Work with Redrow divisions across the UK to develop an Educational Engagement plan to deliver the activities set out in the ‘Redrow educational offer’

3. Organise Regional training, develop toolkits and resources to support the Divisions deliver the ‘Redrow educational offer’

4. Monitor and measure the educational activities and collate case studies for Redrow’s careers website and intranet

5. Develop links with organisations with key partners, such as Young Enterprise, Business in the Community, Princes Trust, Women in Construction to support and develop initiatives across the UK

6. Work with Regional Divisions and our Learning and Development team to increase the numbers of Construction Ambassadors within Redrow to utilise within Regional Divisions

7. Develop a charity framework to support Local and Strategic charitable investment activities across Redrow

8. Lead on the development of a Volunteering policy

9. Work with colleagues within departments and Regional Divisions to develop a strategy and plan to engage, communicate and develop our Supply Chain

10. Work with the team to develop Objectives/Key Performance Indicators for Regional Divisions

11. Support Engagement Groups within divisions

12. Develop a monitoring and recording system to capture the external engagement work of the Regional Divisions and to provide reports

13. Ensure familiarity with Redrow Group’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies and comply with employee responsibilities

14. At all times comply with company policies, procedures and instructions

15. Continue to seek improvement and efficiency by implementing new ideas and methods and continue to seek ways of both improving contribution to the organisation’s goals and enhancing the reputation of the company

Person Specification and Competencies

  •  A self starter with drive and ambition with a positive "can do" attitude

  •  Has commercial awareness with an interest in business and an understanding of the wider environment in which organisations operate

  • Ability to develop effective relationships and work in collaboration with others, both internal and external, to achieve common goals

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with well-developed interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to develop and deliver impactful presentations

  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office; Excel; Power point

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills are essential along with

  • Ability to plan and prioritise work with an exemplary attention to detail

  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle is essential and the ability to travel nationally which would include overnight stays

  • Previous experience in the construction industry is desirable but not essential
