Executive Assistant/Content Executive Role Overview

This is a huge opportunity for someone wanting to work right across a business. This role involves becoming an expert in managing digital content as well as being an effective manager to an office of A-players.

Your content role will be to manage the publishers and content providers to ensure a constant stream of new, exciting titles. You will require excellent people skills in order to manage these supplier relationships effectively and ensure consistent communication. Organisational abilities are essential as you will be managing schedules and ensuring all marketing and publicity material is provided from the suppliers. You will be working to on-board new suppliers and doing regular research to ensure all opportunities to maximise our content are maximised. The role will also involve managing existing content with some experience in publishing an advantage in terms of knowledge of authors and key titles in the UK book trade. As well as day-to-day content tasks, there will be content projects that you will be responsible for delivering to schedule.

As well as working across content you will be working closely with the Business Executive and Commercial Director as an Executive Assistant and be prepared to take on a senior management role when required, as a touch-point for all members of the internal team.

You will provide executive support for the senior team and co-ordinate communication, particularly between the UK and Australian offices. General office management skills will be fully utilised in this versatile role and support may be required across many areas of the business - from assistance with presentation preparation and report running to providing first-class customer support to all of our clients and end-users.

This role will provide the right person with a unique chance to learn about every element of a publishing and digital business - from content to marketing and from customer service to sales.

Executive Assistant/Content Executive about You

You will be a capable and experienced all-rounder, who has a passion for books and audio and a drive to succeed and grow in a fast-moving and ever-changing environment. You will be working within whichever area the business requires so you need to be adaptable and hard working with unwavering resilience and determination. Whilst experience in the book trade is beneficial, a passion for books is just as important for this role.

You will need excellent organisational skills and be able to multi-task - office management or executive assistant experience would be an advantage however if you have the skills to fulfil this role, coaching will be provided.

You will have excellent expertise in Excel, PowerPoint and Word plus skills in In-design and Photoshop will be an advantage.
