European Procurement Analyst (energy)

Role: European Procurement Analyst (energy)

Location: Oxfordshire

Salary: up to £30k DOE

Do you speak French or German and do you have some experience of energy procurement? If so, we have an exciting role for a European Procurement Analyst to work for a leading energy consultancy working within pan-European I&C customers. The European Procurement Analyst will provide analytical input to a number of ongoing projects and be responsible for service delivery to a number of customers. This company are looking to expand their services further across continental Europe, so a European language skill is critical for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding and resolving inbound support requests from Customers
  • Maintaining relationship with European suppliers and liaising with key customer contacts
  • Production of procurement reports for customers
  • Provide cost analysis of European markets especially to France and Germany
  • Undertaking internal analytics on non-commodity pricing components for European countries
  • Producing utility budgets for customers based on consumption, contract rates historic billing
  • Tender analysis of fixed and flexible contracts in the UK and Europe
  • Contributing to the market intelligence reports and writing market commentaries
  • Budget Analysis and Reporting
  • Conducting aspects of energy trading and risk management strategies

Skills and experience required:

  • Must speak English + at least one more European language (French or German preferable)
  • Background in analysis or working with data and solid attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with customers, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Be self-motivated and able to work autonomously
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel and computer literate
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and clients from different cultures and countries
  • Able to manage demands from customers and other parties and still deliver a good service
  • Have a strong mathematical and analytical skillset for reporting
  • Ideally educated to degree level
