European General Manager

As a result of plans for rapid expansion into European markets, an opportunity now exists for a General Manager for Europe to enhance revenue and profitability across the region.

The Client:

The Role:

The EMEA General Manager has overall responsibility for the achievement of the region's revenue and profitability goals, the effective and efficient execution of all operations, management of all personnel, and serves as the primary point-of-contact for all sales and client activities. These responsibilities include both the creation of strategic plans to create the desired results, as well as their execution.

The primary focus of this position is on proper sales lead generation and sales execution, with the goal of improving sales performance, creating a high-performing sales team and expanding existing accounts. Sales activities include: the creation of a sales strategy, inbound and outbound lead generation, sales execution, and opportunity close and negotiation. Activities regarding global accounts must be strategized with the appropriate corporate or cross-regional resources.

Coordinate and management of all business functions within the region, including Sales, Account Management, Service Delivery, Support, HR and Marketing, and ensure these align with corporate goals and the activities of other regions. Ensure all other functions, such as Legal and Finance, are properly coordinated with corporate directives, policies and procedures.

Key Requirements:

  • Significant experience as a head of regional activities that include complex, enterprise-level business oriented software.
  • Software experience in a sales capacity that includes both on premise and SaaS.
  • Proven track record of success in long term sales cycles (up to 2 year processes).
  • Proven track record of sourcing, executing and closing deals with large corporate enterprises.
  • Effective in the development and implementation of long term corporate sales strategy.
