Your new company
A job has arisen for an Estimator with a leading main contractor specialising in new build, D&B, refurbishment and fit-out works across Kent and the South East. They now require an Estimator to be based in their Kent office. Project examples consist of hospitals, universities and schools.
With an annual turnover of just over £30m and with project values typically ranging between £500k - £5m, this organisation are very stable and have a long list of works being undertaken and a strong order book for the next 12 months. You will be working in a newly created division, where you will be the lead Estimator and in time will grow your own Estimating department.
Your new role
The role of the Senior Estimator will be to work within the commercial team, the main purpose of the role would include the preparation and return of quantified tenders from specifications and drawings or bill of quantities, the completion of pre-qualification's questionnaires and to attend pre tender meetings as well as internal handover meetings.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have proven experience within an Estimating role, taking projects from initial enquiry, first principles through to handover, working on projects with contract values of up to but not limited to £5 million. The ideal candidate would have experience of working within a medium to large sized main contractor.
What you'll get in return
In return as the Senior Estimator, you can expect a salary of up to £60k + car allowance, 25 days holiday + bank holidays and pension.
