Engineering Manager – Site Reliability Engineering

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Hybrid (minimum 20% on-site in our London Shoreditch office)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Manager to lead our newly formed team. As the SRE Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our Critical National Infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise and ability to work on engineering tasks, with strong leadership and management skills to guide and work alongside a team of talented engineers in delivering world-class infrastructure solutions

About you and your experience

  • Proven experience in a Site Reliability Engineering related role with at least 3 years in a leadership or management capacity. Note that we consider experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering roles to be as relevant as SRE experience. 
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes). 
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible). 
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). 
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing engineering teams. 
  • Experience in incident management and a strong understanding of reliability best practices. 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
