Engineering Buyer required on a permanent basis for a global manufacturing client based in Wiltshire. As an Engineering Buyer, your day-to-day duties will consist of:
Management of key stakeholder investments for new project equipment/tooling.
Cost negotiation for components and specialist materials.
Creation of tooling plans, liaising with relevant departments.
Conducting and presenting market research.
Cost Analysis and Reporting.
Setting necessary targets in line with Production requirements.
To be considered for the role of Engineering Buyer, you must possess the following skills/experience:
Ideally a degree within Mechanical Engineering or a wealth of experience in a Purchasing role within an Engineering/Technical business.
Experience in Cost Verification is ESSENTIAL.
Process knowledge around Engineering procedures is essential (Injection Moulding, Assembly Process or Welding).
Project Management experience would be advantageous.
