Main Purpose

Ways to Work is a Liverpool City Region wide programme funded via European Social Funding (ESF) to support unemployed residents aged 16 to 75 into employment and training opportunities. The Programme is delivered across all 6 local authority areas within the LCR.

The Liverpool element of programme has 4 strands of delivery supported by a number of services within the Council; Employment & Skills, Children’s Services and Community Services. The programme supports unemployed people, including care leavers, residents aged 50+, ex-offenders, disabled, BAME, asylum seekers/refugees and young people with special educational needs.

The Employment Support Coach will support provide appropriate pre-work/training and in-work/training support for people who are disadvantaged from entering employment. This will include participants with learning disabilities, those on the autistic spectrum, mental health difficulties and/or physical disabilities and sensory impairments. Incorporating support to participants on the Ways to Work (ESF) programme and those that are not in employment, education or training (NEETS).
