Embedded Software Tester

A world-leading innovator in computer graphics, video capture, and digital display technology are seeking a Software Tester to join their team based in Derby. The company has a strong reputation for delivering class-leading products and effective customer support across various markets across the world. This is a perfect role for someone who has experience in embedded software testing and a passion for technology, and excellent communication.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze requirements and design tests accordingly.

• Write, maintain, and execute manual and automated tests to validate acceptance criteria.

• Manage and maintain test scripts for continuous integration testing.

• Collaborate within the software team using agile methods, including sprint activities.

• Self-manage workload across multiple teams when possible.


Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of software testing experience, preferably in embedded systems.

• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.

• Experience with REST API and networking protocols (e.g., HTTP/TCP-IP).

• Familiarity with version control systems such as Azure Devops and Git

• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.

• Knowledge of Linux operating systems.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.
