Avanti are working with a company in Abingdon looking to add a Software Team Lead. This will be a hybrid role requiring you in the office twice a week. You will need to be based near the office currently. Salary - 70-95k This role is to join a team that is spread across the US and Ukraine (though you’d be working on UK hours) and you’d also work closely with a Product Owner in Abingdon which is why there is a requirement to go into the office. This is a Team Lead position which will have a rough split of 50% leadership responsibilities and 50% technical. You will need to have some Lead experience though it doesn’t necessarily need to be your job title. Job Duties Provides technical leadership while maintaining the ability to advance development expertise by designing, coding, testing, trouble-shooting, and documenting engineering systems applications. Experience in C/C and Agile Scrum methodologies. Assists in scoping and costing of technical solutions. This role will have responsibility for identifying and filling technological and functional requirements needed by the organization, or the project. Ensures that the technical solutions produced meet the accepted technical standards. Supervises development, QA, and/or other technical staff members. Track record in mentoring and/or supervising other individual contributors. Manages the development team and potentially outside consultants in coordinating project design and milestone reviews to ensure on-time, on-schedule, on-scope delivery. Responsible for staffing and career development within the team. Executes tactical action plans according to department goals and objectives. Contributes technical leadership, and provides technical guidance in the area of expertise to the delivery of the product. Team Lead

Our client is one of the UK's leading digital media agencies, specialising in the creation, hosting and syndication of product data and rich media content for globally recognised brands. Their aim is to help clients sell more online. The Role: We are looking for a Mid-Senior Front-End Developer to join their fast-growing software development team and help to deliver world-class products and services for our customers. We are keen to speak to people who would like to progress to a Team Leader position in the future but this is not a requirement. The company is based in Colchester and attend the office on a hybrid basis, 3 days a week. Required Skills: Proficiency using modern front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript. Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular/Svelte/Astro. Experience with CSS pre-processors like SASS/SCSS. Strong knowledge and experience working with RESTful APIs.
