Embedded Software Engineer

Location: Leicester (UK)

Work pattern: Hybrid (2 days from home)

Salary: Negotiable (circa £45k-£70k)

Platform recruitment are currently partnered with one of the global leaders in innovative technologies for the energy and marine markets, and are currently on the search for a highly motivated Embedded Software Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

This role will involve developing real time embedded software applications using C++, as well as running under Linux/FreeRTOS

Key deliverables include:

  • Developing embedded applications in Linux as well as real time applications in FreeRTOS.
  • Experience in C++ with multi-threading.
  • Understanding of object orientated design patterns.

Good to have:

  • Knowledge of C#
  • Experience working within Agile development practices.
  • Knowledge of signal processing techniques.

Further information:

This role is hybrid and includes flexible working hours. The core hours for this role are 10-4pm Mon-Thu and 10-2pm on a Friday. Our client is open with salary depending on experience, as well as offering an 8% employer pension contribution with no employee expectation to contribute.
