Direct Sales and Marketing Team Leader

Main Purpose of Job

  • To manage and drive performance in the Direct Marketing Unit to enable the achievement of KPI’s.
  • To generate sales appointments for sales executives with employers.

Main Activities

  • To manage day to day team activity in the drive towards achievement of team target.
  • To undertake weekly team brief and focus performance on the achievement of KPI’s.
  • Assist in building and maintaining a high quality prospecting and customer database.
  • Undertake specific and national telesales activity in the achievement of own individual targets.
  • Agree staff training and development in line with the Company’s Staff Development and Personnel Policy.
  • Conduct Appraisal & Job reviews with appropriate staff as per the Company's Staff Development and Personnel Policy.
  • Ensure individuals have a clear understanding of their roles, responsibilities and accountabilities and deliver against their individual KPIs and targets.
  • To agree and help produce marketing materials including email marketing, mail marketing and social media for all departments with the Sales & Marketing Manager and Marketing Co-ordinator
  • Complete department performance reports monthly
  • Overseeing a team of 3 Telesales Executives

Main Outcomes

  • To generate qualified appointments in line with the Direct Marketing team targets.

Skills required:

  • Good general education
  • Background within Internal Sales - B:B sales
  • Used to working to targets and meeting deadlines
  • Supervisory/Team Leader experience
  • Direct Marketing/Emarketing/Social Media skills
  • Strong systems skills
  • Car driver (although very limited external Sales)

Salary £26,000 + Quarterly Bonus and excellent company benefits
