Development Placement Market Analyst

An exciting role for candidates to combine market distribution, analytical, and account management experience to join a leading international insurance firm. In this key role, you will have the opportunity for decision-making, career development, and making a real impact.

Working in a highly collaborative team, you’ll have the flexibility to work on a hybrid basis, your team meets in London three times a week, Tuesday to Thursday.

You will be responsible for managing day-to-day insurer partner relationships playing a crucial role in business planning, your duties include but are not limited to-

• Developing relationships with a large panel of insurers who provide a best-in-class proposition.
• Managing relationships with key insurer partners.
• Fostering and maintaining strong professional relationships.
• Participating in a high degree of market interaction.
• Analysing and understanding the data & risk.
• Data and MI analysing.
• Identifying new opportunities to maximise business.
• Account managing insurer clients and negotiating with insurers on schemes, and products and manually transacted business.

To be successful in this role, the desired key skills and experience include-

• Proven track record in the insurance sector, with a particular focus on placement and broking strategies
• Advanced/confident MS Excel and data analytical skills
• Experience to read data/IM reports
• Excellent communication, relationship management, and negotiation skills
• Adept at managing complex insurer relationships
• Strategic thinker with a strong commercial mindset
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a dynamic team
• Experience in conducting requests for proposals and market reviews
• Ability to contribute to strategic broking initiatives
• Comfortable with travel in a regional role.
