Database Developer - SQL, AWS, PostgreSQL, T-SQL - Remote
Start: ASAP / Duration: 4-6 months / Location: Fully Remote / Outside IR35
About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Database Developer to provide cover during a period of extended leave. You'll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our database systems, supporting ETL workflows, and improving reporting capabilities.
Our environment includes MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases hosted in AWS RDS and Aurora, with ETL logic built in C# and AWS Lambda. Experience with Amazon QuickSight is a plus.
This is a fully remote position, ideal for someone confident working independently and able to hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain and support MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases in AWS RDS/Aurora

Develop and optimise T-SQL and PL/pgSQL queries, stored procedures, and functions

Enhance and support ETL processes (C# / AWS Lambda)

Collaborate with developers to align database models with application needs

Apply schema changes, maintain data integrity, and support migrations

Assist in creating reports and dashboards using Amazon QuickSight
Essential Skills

Proven experience with MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL

Strong SQL development skills (T-SQL, PL/pgSQL)

AWS experience (RDS or Aurora)

Familiarity with C# and AWS Lambda for data processing

Self-motivated, proactive, and effective communicator in a remote setting
