Position: Customs Officer

Location: Bolton (Dynamic Working Hours)

Salary: Up to £40,000 + Company Bonus & Paid Overtime

Experience: Experience in technical/practical aspects of Import & Export Customs procedures and knowledge of customs special procedures, specifically IPR & Customs warehousing

We currently have an opening for an experienced Customs Officer to join our Bolton location, who will be tasked with overseeing Customs Warehousing and IPR processes. This role is crucial for ensuring our compliance with HMRC regulations and is well-suited for individuals who enjoy tackling challenges. In this position, attention to detail is essential, and you'll have the opportunity to contribute to ongoing improvements within the department.

What we need from you:

• Experience in technical and practical aspects of Import and Export Customs procedures
• Knowledge of customs special procedures, specifically IPR and Customs warehousing
• A detailed knowledge of all fields on a CHIEF or CDS customs entry
• A working knowledge and understanding of Tariff Codes and Customs Procedure Codes
• A working knowledge of the rules of origin
• Capability to produce professional and concise documentation
• A working knowledge in supervising a Customs warehouse - preferred
