Customer Support Engineer

Our client is a well respected and established company with a recognised brand name. With a multi national customer base, they produce a range of products for the consumer market. A job is now available for a Customer Support Engineer to join them at their facility in County Durham on a permanent basis.

The Role:

* Liaise with different parties to provide quality technical support to the customer

* Authorise standard operations and repair times

* Draft technical bulletins for issue

* Attend client and customer visits as required (overnight stays when necessary)

* Prepare reports

* Plan and manage training events

* Provide assistance with warranty claims

* Provide technical support to a number of parties

* Handle customer and client calls

* Any other Ad hoc duties as required

The Person:

* Ideally HNC qualified or equivalent in an engineering subject

* Good knowledge of manufacturing techniques

* Engineering background desirable but not essential

* Must have prior experience of dealing with customers

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

* Enthusiastic and self motivated

* Must hold a valid driving licence and passport and be prepared to travel
