Customer Service Operator - Logistics
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Customer Service Operator with a background in logistics to join a well established and rapidly growing General Haulage organisation based in South Yorkshire. As such they are able to add to their team on a permanent basis and are looking for customer focused and motivated individual to join them.
Working in this fast paced and pressurised environment your key duties will include:
Processing customer orders and engaging with clients in a professional manner
Monitoring jobs, progress chasing, ensuring vehicles are on time, updating the truckcom system and reporting any delays to customers in a prompt and efficient manner
Dealing with any POD requests for customer assist with invoice queries and report any unvoiced work
Sending and replying to all customer enquiries and emails providing updates and lead times
Accessing TMS to check times of deliveries and loads are planned accordingly
Charge customers the demurrage costs if the driver is held up
Provide customers with a breakdown of deliveries and timings that day and confirmation of the following days loads
Report any major customer issues to management
Raise driver non-conformance's
Produce KPI reports and report to Commercial Manager
Maintain compliance with Health & Safety
This is a demanding, fast paced role and requires a good eye for detail and the ability to manage your time effectively regularly prioritising to ensure deadlines are met. As such previous experience in a similar role is preferred. An excellent communicator you will work well on your own initiative but also effectively as part of a team. Due to the nature of the business you will be required to work 12 hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern of 7am - 7pm.
