Customer Service Advisor

Permanent, full-time £18,000.00, rising to £20,000.00 after 6 month probation period.
40 hours a week Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm
22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.

We are an established telecommunications company, providing telecommunication services to businesses across the UK from our offices at Plymouth Science Park in Derriford, Plymouth. We are looking for an experienced, exceptional, customer service advisor to join our small team of customer service professionals.

As a customer service advisor, you will deal with enquiries from both new and existing business customers by telephone, email and post regarding our range of products and services.

The Customer Service Advisor role will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

  • Promoting the benefits of our range of free and chargeable products and services.
  • Answering of emails, calls and letters meeting our KPIs.
  • Responding to new sales and account enquiries.
  • Taking card payments and converting customers onto direct debit.
  • Providing first line technical support to customers and resolving simple faults.
  • Processing of number porting requests.
  • Making routine outbound courtesy calls to customers.
  • Provisioning of new products and services.
  • Customer account administration using our CRM system.

Candidates need to have previous experience within a fast paced, customer service call centre environment.

We are looking for someone with a passion for providing first class customer service. You will be joining a small team that will always go above and beyond to make our customers feel valued and who bring a positive attitude to the office daily. Attention to detail is absolutely necessary for this role to be carried out to a high standard.

Essential attributes include: a confident and assertive telephone manner, excellent customer service skills, self-motivated individual, able to manage own workload and have a drive for results, excellent attention to detail, good IT skills, a working knowledge of Microsoft packages Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and operating system Windows 10 and the ability to accurately type a minimum of 30-50 words per minute.

The position is on an initial 6-month probation period, with a permanent position available thereafter on successful completion of the probation period.
