CQC Registered Manager

You will be responsible for the day to day running of both the home and extra care facility, overseeing all activities across the two accommodations. As the Registered Manager with CQC you will be responsible for making sure the quality of the services and care provided meets the highest standard of care is maintained in accordance with Heritage Care’s policies and procedures and CQC Fundamental Standards.
Key Responsibilities
To put residents at the centre of your daily job and ensure that your support is based on their individual needs;
Developing a person-centred team that makes a real difference to people’s lives by:-
 Coaching and mentoring staff
 Creating an environment where people can problem solve and find solutions together
 Feeding back to senior managers any barriers to practice including within policies and procedures which prevent staff delivering the care required
 Using the skills and interests of staff

Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social care or Registered Manager’s Award or NVQ level 4 in Leadership and Management in Care Services
Desirable: QCF/NVQ Assessor’s qualification.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or willingness to undertake.

Person Specification
 Ability to devise rotas and ensure the home is safely staffed
 Ability to produce clear and concise written reports
 Competent approach to budgets, and petty cash procedures
 Broad range of care skills for older people living in residential care
 Knowledge and understanding of specific conditions that affect older people such as
Dementia including approaches such as the 'butterfly approach’
 Demonstrate an understanding of equal opportunities/anti-discriminatory practice, including discrimination experienced by minority groups due to ethnic origin, disability, sex, age, sexual orientation.
The post holder must be able to demonstrate an awareness and ability to relate this knowledge to the needs of older people.
 You will participate in an On Call rota
 You will be a car driver and have a vehicle available to you.
