Cook - Doncaster
REED Social Care are recruiting for a cook for a national supported housing association. based in Doncaster town centre, you will be assisting with the delivery of catering services to the standard required in line with our client's values.
Your main roles and responsibilities will include:
To prepare, cook and serve healthy meals to a high standard whilst offering value for money and ensuring that particular dietary and cultural needs and preferences are met
Assist in food preparation and service
Complying with legislation in relation to food hygiene
Ensuring Health and Safety standards are maintained at all times
Ensuring all catering supplies are ordered within budget, stored correctly and stock count is maintained
Treats all customers in a polite and courteous manner and shows dignity and respect at all times
Work as part of a team to deliver a high standard service to our clients
Experience and skills required:
Experience of home cooking and healthy menu planning for 40 or more people
Experience of working with a vulnerable client group and an understanding of their needs and
You would need an in date Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
The post is temporary but ongoing and is £9.50 per hour. The working hours are 09.30 - 14.30 Monday to Friday. Due to the vulnerable nature of the client an Enhanced DBS will be required - you can start the role without one but will need to process one.
