An established IT company have a requirement for a Company Accountant after continued growth
Your new company
You will be an integral part of a UK based IT organisation which has seen continued growth since being established in 2010. The company is based across 3 locations in the UK and 1 site in the US, you will sit in the Farnham office which has a very collegiate culture, and will have to travel to London a few times a month for management meetings.
Your new role
As the Company Accountant, you will report directly to the Finance Director, and be responsible for the full finance function, the Finance Director was previously responsible for this, but has created this new role as their time is needed elsewhere since the business has seen such rapid growth. This is a great all round role and would be ideal for someone who has worked within practice dealing with outsourced accounts, or alternatively someone who has been sole finance within an SME environment.
What you'll need to succeed
As well as being part or newly qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA, you will have experience working within a similar finance function in a similar role for at least 3 years. You will be fully autonomous and responsible for maintaining the finance function on a day to day basis - inclusive of - reconciliations, credit control, fixed assets, journals, VAT, month and year end activities, including management accounts, statutory accounts and audit. You will also be responsible for budget control and forecasting, so will have great communication skills to liaise with both finance and non finance professionals. Strong Excel skills are essential for this role as you will be dealing with large volumes of data and manipulating for management reports. SQL would be very desirable.
