This is an exciting opportunity for a community focused individual to join ourCommunities Team atSovereign Network Group (SNG) as a CommunityInvestment and Partnership Leadon a permanent basis.

Ideally, you'll be based fromourHertford office, combining both home and office working to ensure a positive work/life balance. In the longer term, there may be some travel required between our offices and sites, so you should have access to transport and be happy to travel.

The Role

This role will be at the heart of ourLocalities, delivering CommunityInvestment and partnership actively through commissioning and supportingactivitythat creates socialimpact.

Reporting to the CommunityInvestment and Partnership Manager, you'lllead in the delivery and ongoing development of a Locality based CommunityInvestment strategy, embedding our Thriving Communities, Customer Impact and Corporate Plan. Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating, implementing and overseeing the delivery of a wide-ranging programme of interventions in localities
  • Ensuring that contracts and projects are managed effectively, including performance managementthat demonstrates oursocialimpact
  • Ensuring the smooth and effective financial management of projects via contracts and grants, including adhering to procurement and financial regulations
  • Workingwith the Partnerships and Funding team by writing bids that bring in external funding to deliver socialimpact in ourcommunities
  • WorkingcollaborativelywithCommunityInvestment colleagues to ensure the Thriving Communities vision is delivered in localities
  • Workingeffectivelywithour Grants Officer to support the grant programmes and work with awardees as required
  • Embedding a framework for socialimpact and outcomes recording

What we need from you

Ideally, you'llhavesignificant experience and expertise in the CommunityInvestment sector gained fromworking in a similar role.

You'll need excellent partnership skills, a focus on delivering socialimpact, ability to identifyopportunities for fundraising and programme development and commitment to customer service with the confidence to collaboratewith a variety of stakeholders. You'll also have:

  • A proven track record of positive stakeholderengagement and relationshipmanagement, both internally and externally
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written, tailored to a range of audiences
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Experience of quality assurance of projects, including monitoring and evaluation systems
  • Confidencewith budget management and financial systems
  • IT literate and able to use technology for effective project delivery
