Location: Ipswich
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 - DOE
The Company:
We are working with an independent chartered Insurance Broker who has a great name in the market due to specialising within commercial business and niche risks
They are looking for an Underwriter to to join their close knit and supportive working environment within their Ipswich office
The Role:
The role will involve developing an understanding of our scheme products, to underwrite risks, manage a renewal book and quoting and binding new risks.
Training will be a combination of on the job mentoring supported by colleagues, external insurance courses and CII learning and study which will be fully supported and funded
The Required Skills:
Previous experience within underwriting is preferable, however, broking and claims will be considered
Strong communication, time management and IT skills
Working towards Cert CII would be advantageous, however, support will be provided
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
