Working as a Adjuster Assistant, you will be working from an office based in London and will be assisting in settling claims within the terms of the insurance policy whilst controlling claim spend. It is imperative that you deliver the highest level of customer service in assisting with commercial claims with a value of up to £100,000. Whilst you will work closely with your manager and team colleagues, you will also be required to work independently and therefore you must be able to work using your initiative. The role will involve keeping Insured and insurers up to date throughout the life cycle of the losses, maintain electronic and paper files to an auditable standard, prepare fee calculations, manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and provide on-site assistance including minute taking, statements taking etc.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and listening skills, combined with the ability to work as part of a team and provide support when required. Confidence to make decisions is essential. Candidates must have previously dealt with commercial claims and be able to deal with losses up to £100,000.
