About the role
You’ll be part of the Collections and Payments team who play a core role within the larger Operational department at OneSelect. They ensure that all payments received from customers are allocated correctly and within deadlines, as well as proactively contacting customers to retrieve outstanding debt.
You’ll be managing inbound Collections and/or Payments enquiries and will be making high volume outbound collections contact to customers via all channels; telephone, email and letter.
You must be able to identify the difference between those that won’t pay, and those that can’t - treating each accordingly and morally, whilst ensuring that all Collections and Payments policies and procedures are compliant and followed and individual and team KPIs are met.
You’ll recognise any exception trends or issues and escalate these where required, and will take responsibility for timely resolution of any complaints that are raised to the team.
Required Knowledge and Experience
You MUST HAVE a track record of working in a DOMESTIC COLLECTIONS/CREDIT CONTROL function within a complex and regulated environment with a focus on good customer service. You’ll need experience of allocating/reconciling a high-volume of received payments and high-volume call and email handling, and you must be able to identify vulnerable customers and those who may need extra care and assistance.
Organised and switched on, you’ll be a natural problem solver with strong analytical and numeric skills, great attention to detail and excellent and straightforward communication skills both verbal and written. You’ll be a people person with excellent communication skills - someone who enjoys delivering a great customer experience and can deal calmly and constructively with potentially challenging behavior of customers and resolve each contact satisfactorily.
You’ll also be able to learn and use processes and technical information and will be comfortable working with others and owning solutions.
