CNC Programmer, Setter and Operator - Hamble - £32k DOE
My client based in Hamble are looking a CNC Miller/Turner programmer, setter and operator with full understanding and programming experience of Mazak.
The client produces a full array of monthly, two-week and daily disposable contact lenses, all featuring advanced materials and optics, solving the toughest vision challenges; such as astigmatism, presbyopia and ocular dryness; and offers the most complete collection of spherical, toric and multi focal products available.
Working 1 week of earlies (6am-2pm), then 1 week of lates (2pm-10pm)
Identify which tooling has to be manufactured and select, develop or write the required CNC programme so that the lathe can produce the tooling.
Assemble the material on the lathe, determine the cutting data, set the machine and machine the required tooling, checking and amending settings as required to ensure that the required specification is achieved.
Using the same settings repeat the process to produce the correct batch size.
Machine quantities of insert blanks as necessary in order to ensure that adequate supplies are maintained at all times.
To operate manual Milling machines and Turning Lathes.
Receive requests from Engineering to machine a bespoke part for other equipment, decide the best course of action, source the raw material and produce the part as requested.
Use EDM, (wire eroder) system as required.
100% inspection of work.
Position & Qualification
Setting and operation of manual, semi and automatic lathes
Setting and operation of Pillar Drill.
Manufacture Inserts and Plugs to with in .250 of a micron.
Visual and measurement inspection.
Operating the EDM machine.
Setting and operation of Optiform CNC lathe
Programming, setting and operation of Mazak CNC.
Programming, setting and operation of Hardinge CNC.
