The Burford Recruitment Company are delighted to be working with a prestigious private estate to find an experienced and knowledgeable Valeter/Detailer to join their team and help look after a collection of classic cars.

The main purpose of the role is to maintain and enhance the aesthetic appeal and working order of a collection of unique and special vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough cleaning, washing, waxing, and polishing of classic cars to ensure they maintain their pristine appearance.
  • Use specialised tools and techniques to remove dirt, grease, and other imperfections from both the exterior and interior of vehicles.
  • Inspect vehicles for any damage or wear and report findings to management.
  • Utilise mechanical knowledge to assist with basic maintenance tasks such as battery checks, tyre pressure adjustments, and fluid top-ups.
  • Collaborate with other team members to prioritise tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, including storage areas for detailing supplies and equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a passion for classic cars, a keen eye for detail, and will take pride in extremely high standards of workmanship.

  • Previous experience as a car Valeter/Detailer.
  • Passion for classic cars and an understanding of their unique characteristics and requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform minor maintenance.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

This position is very much a Monday-to-Friday role, however, flexibility to work outside of regular hours to accommodate special events may be required on occasion.
