Salary: £14.92 per hour to £18.63 per hour

Job Description:
Our well-established client in Bristol is currently seeking reliable and skilled Class 1 Trunking Drivers to join the team.  As a Trunking Driver you will be responsible for transporting goods between our various locations efficiently and ensuring timely deliveries.  We offer competitive pay rates ranging from £14.92 to £18.63 per hour.  Temporary/Ad hoc work with potential to full time positions.

Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle for trunking operations, adhering to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Transport goods between different locations, ensuring efficient delivery schedules.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure road-worthiness and report any maintenance or mechanical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery details.
  • Communicate effectively with the transportation team and other drivers to coordinate trunking operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address any inquiries or concerns that may arise during deliveries.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 1 driving licence with a minimum of 1 year of driving experience.
  • Clean driving record and a thorough understanding of traffic laws and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety and excellent driving skills.
  • Ability to work varied start times throughout the day/night, you will be expected to cover some or all weekends due to being a retail client.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • A valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
