Hays Social Care are looking for experienced Child Support Workers for a Children's home in Carmarthen
In your new company you will be working as a Child Support Worker in Carmarthen. The residential home supports children with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, and other challenging and complex behavioural needs. The home provides the children with personal care, therapy and social activities. You will be joining an excellent team of Support Workers at the warm and caring Children's residential home.
Your new role
You will provide an essential service to support children in the most important time of their lives, you will be encouraging them at all times to lead independent and fulfilling lives. You will be working with our clients on a 1-1 basis or within a small team of Support Workers, in a residential setting. You will also have the opportunity to build great relationships with the children and their families so that you can ensure the service users are living as independent a life as possible.
To be successful within this support worker role you must be passionate about making a difference to service user's lives and be happy to go the extra mile. If you are motivated, enthusiastic and care about helping children, then you will thrive within this support worker position.
What you'll need to succeed
- QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care for Adults and Young People.
- Registration onto the Social Care Wales Register ( No compulsory but will help)
- A willingness to learn and enrol onto the relevant QCF course if not already qualified.
