Salary: up to £115k base + 25% bonus

Summary

This global asset management firm is looking for a hands-on tech lead to work the whole project lifecycle on predominantly pre-trade projects.

This will involve speaking to Portfolio Managers and senior stakeholders to manage expectations and gather requirements before doing the full stack of development including DevOps all the way through to deployment.

Projects will include building out a new, modern OMS platform as well as things like order generation, research, and analytical tools for the PMs. There will be lots of Greenfield work on offer and you'll have a big say in the tech stack that's used for future projects (typically, the current stack is around C#, SQL, Angular and Azure).

The successful Development Lead will have very strong communication skills and likely come from a background in financial services/fund management sector. You will have one direct report working under you, so this is a very hands-on development position.

Skills and Experience Required
  • Strong and confident programmer, ideally within C#, .Net, SQL, WPF and Angular
  • Good understanding of DevOps
  • Excellent and effective communicator, with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Self-starter, with a creative approach to problem solving

Desirable
  • Background in financial services ideal
  • Knowledge of any of the following: Python, R and cloud native technologies, e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP
