With their extensive client list, it is likely you have seen their interactive products within the retail sector as you walk into high street shops. To continue their growth plans, they are looking for an ambitious, motivated and professional sales professional to join them.
Digital signage is increasingly prominent within the retail and corporate markets. As a specialist in this market, our client has doubled its turnover in the last year, with plans to double again this year. The team is very experienced in advertising, marketing, IT and technical consulting with an outstanding track record of success. The only thing holding back further growth is the time and attention to speak to all new prospective clients and that’s why you could help.
With a senior team skilled at meeting clients to present solutions, they now need a professional Business Development Manager to contact more clients to assess how to help. From a huge bank of enquiries and ongoing prospects, you will research the right ones to contact and then approach them to have a consultation about how to move forward. Once you identify the right kind of clients - probably within the retail sector - you’ll be expected to book meetings for your senior team to meet the relevant people for more detailed discussions.
Once fully trained and with some miles under your belt, there will be the opportunity to meet clients direct yourself. First things first: come in, understand your market, generate well-qualified meetings and help grow revenue. Thereafter, you’ll become increasingly involved in the whole sales process giving you great variety: research, phone calls, meetings, presentations and client management - you’re rarely have the same day twice.
You may come from a retail background and therefore understand the minds of retail professionals but be looking for a more proactive sales role. Alternatively, you may be a proven sales professional with 1-3 years’ experience in developing contacts, motivating leads and closing sales. If you’re not from a retail background, it will help if you have an interest in retail and, potentially, some contacts in that world. Whatever your background, you must have a real passion for sales and for remarkable service to clients as well as an infectious enthusiasm for both work and life. No moaners welcome here!
