Business Development Manager Insurance Industry

We have a new and exciting opportunity available for a Business Development Manager to join our client, a specialist in the insurance field, who are based in Essex.

As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for driving sales through new and existing business and managing distribution partner relationships.

Experience and an interest in the UK general insurance market would be highly advantageous. 

Working Monday – Friday between the hours of 9:00am – 5:30pm, our client is offering a salary of up to £45,000 per annum dependent on experience as well as attractive benefits.

Main Responsibilities of Business Development Manager:

  • To identify strategic business opportunities to generate revenue through brokers
  • The ability to recognise opportunities and the sales experience to nurture prospects into clients
  • Develop and deliver a regional strategy, updating quarterly
  • Business planning to achieve regional distribution strategy and national sales targets
  • Develop brokers into Key Account status
  • Reporting Sales and KPIs on the 2nd day of each month
  • Identify new areas for product development
  • Implement marketing, advertising and promotion planning, where appropriate
  • Plan; prioritise activities and prospects toward achieving agreed sales targets brokers
  • Execute the responsibilities of the Sales Manager
  • Travel required (UK only)
