We’re working with an award-winning UK law firm to source a business development manager for their London office, taking ownership of the firms BD strategy; sitting on the marketing and BD management team, reporting directly into the partnership.
The role will manage 2 direct reports, a BD and a Pitch resource, as such the ability to develop others and define a strategy that will allow the other members of the team to deliver the firms BD strategy will be critical to the success of this role.
Day to day the role will be split across team management, but have a hands-on approach to the new business process, including managing strategic tenders with the Bid Exec, equally creating new business initiatives to target clients and work. The role will be client facing and have a central focus in the firm’s client listening, speaking to and visiting clients regularly to collate feedback and ensure a best practice approach.
The role will also see the successful candidate become an industry and sector expert, attending industry conferences and events as well as leading in online and social initiatives to position the firm at the forefront of client’s minds.
This is a good step up for an established senior exec or junior manager looking to bridge the gap into a more senior remit with team management, or for someone potentially looking to go into more of a client facing and proactive remit.
