Fabulous opportunity to identify new, and grow existing, revenue streams for our market-leading client in the drug development CRO sector!

As a Business Development Director you will oversee the entire commercial process - duties will include:-

  • Securing new opportunities via a variety of avenues such as; attending conferences, growing your network, identifying new groups with existing clients etc.
  • Responding to enquiries, rapidly promoting different services on offer to expedite drug development
  • Preparing and presenting drug development bid proposals
  • Negotiating contracts - costings, delivery, timeframes

You will be expected to exceed annual sales targets, explore new markets, and track/exploit industry trends. Your primary focus will be on the European and North American markets, travelling as/when required.

The successful candidate will probably be either an experienced Business Development professional with a track record of selling drug development and testing services; or a highly experienced scientist from the sector looking to move into business development. Significant experience/knowledge of the sector, ideally gained on anti-bacterials, anti-fungals and/or infectious diseases coupled with an understanding of GXP is highly desirable.
