We are currently looking for a Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant for a client based in Birmingham, to support the company in a full range of bookkeeping and reporting duties. This role would suit a qualified AAT bookkeeper with +5 years experience working in a small company accounting environment.

· Prepare monthly trial balance

· HMRC returns

· VAT returns

· Bank and cash reconciliations

· Journal entries (accruals/prepayments etc)

· Supplier payments

· Production and input of sales invoices

· Support the payroll team each month

· Support the credit control team in managing the debtor ledger


· AAT qualification

· +5 years working in a small company accounting environment

· Experience of working with Sage 50

· Production of monthly trial balance and basic management accounts

· Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel Desirable

· Experience of setting up Sage 50 within a business (or other General Ledger)
