The Company: Established 1970, our client is a global market leader with offices all over rthe world and an annual turnover in excess of $1bn.

The Role: This is a key new position supporting the global HQ marketing team to provide support to the Bids/Proposals Manager in the preparation and coordination of invitations to tender and the general support stages of the sales and tender process. Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage responses to ITT, RFI, PQQ and associated tender stage requests
  • Accurately log the bidding opportunities on the tenders CRM database
  • Compile regular activity and progress reports to the Tender Manager
  • Take responsibility for the sign-off process, collating client-related external documents
  • Maintain the tenders library, archiving all standard and regularly-used responses
  • Assist with the post-tender award administration, to help drive revenue
  • Other tender/bid/proposal related activities, as required.

The Ideal Candidate will be a graduate in English or Creative Writing/Journalism (or similar) who has knowledge and prior professional experience of tenders preparation. To be considered you must be a collaborative and articulate individual who has the ability to build productive working relationships with internal colleagues at all levels of the business. Excellent communication, organisational skills, time management and a keen eye to detail are therefore all essential. You must also be a flexible and supportive team-player, not too proud to 'muck in' when the pressure is on. First and foremost this is a copywriting and editorial bids role, not design or coordination/administration. The position will ideally suit a candidate who has a minimum of 18 months' prior bids/tender writing experience who is looking to make a step up. Applicants with prior experience in the engineering, manufacturing, oil and gas, technical or construction industries would be of particular interest.
