Bid and Office Administratior

Our client is looking to recruit a Bid and Office Administrator for their offices in Cambridge

We are looking for an exceptional, passionate and talented individual to join their Cambridge studio to provide both bid and general office support to the Cambridge and wider team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a bid or office administrator with a passion for architecture and design to take the next step and develop their career as part of an AJ100 top 10 architectural practice.

The role


  1. Support the bid writing process by producing high quality, written proposals that clearly articulate the organisations’ value proposition
  2. Identifying relevant opportunities within target market sectors.
  3. Agreeing a time-line plan on each bid with Key Stage Actions involving all concerned personnel
  4. Develop a library of updated and relevant case Studies suitable for each target sector, including coordination and development of our image library
  5. Range of duties for content creation for our external PR agency (information for press releases, website news stories, internal Intranet stories and other internal communication)
  6. Plan and deliver events to achieve marketing objectives in line with the overall strategy.
  7. Provide accurate statistics, reports and success rates of bids
  8. Collation of architectural project InDesign reports
  9. Collate and submit information for high quality and winning bids


  1. Contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the studio
  2. Accurate input and reporting of financial/resource data
  3. Organise and prepare for a variety of Purcell internal communication meetings
  4. Accurate and effective diary management for the studio
  5. Contribute to the successful completion of internal and external audits
  6. Project/Technical admin support (minutes, certificates etc.)
  7. Ad-hoc admin support including but not limited to:





Internal Allocations

Ordering of stationary

Answering and distributing office calls and messages

Booking of travel and accommodation


  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Advanced experience of using Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
  • Excellent InDesign skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to organise, plan, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Confident and polite reception skills (including but not limited to call handling and visitor greeting)
  • Clear and succinct written and verbal communications
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of business context and architectural priorities/processes
  • Some experience of using and implementing an established brand
  • Attention to detail
