Manchester University Foundation Trust are currently looking for an experienced Band 7 Sonographer to join the team at Manchester Royal Infirmary.

Main purpose of the job:

Working autonomously as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide a full ultrasound service within Manchester Royal Infirmary Hospital, with cross site working being required as a possibility if service demand dictates. This role involves using complex ultrasound equipment to scan a wide selection of patients referred from many clinical areas, issuing a written report on the results, and discussing these when appropriate with both the patient and the referring clinicians.

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

  • NHS experienced Sonographer

  • HCPC registered

  • Experience working at a band 7 level

  • Minimum of a post-graduate certificate in Medical Ultrasound is required with Obstetrics, Gynecology and General Medicine modules completed
