Bakery Trainee Operative

  • Starting from £13.50 per hour
  • Location: East Peckham near Tonbridge, TN12
  • Job Type: Full-time, Night Shift

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our Night Shift Bakery team as a Bakery Trainee Operative. This role involves working 5 nights a week between Sunday to Friday, from 6pm to 3am, with Saturdays off and an additional weekday night off. This position is ideal for someone looking to start or advance their career in the bakery industry.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Slicing bread and preparing a variety of baked goods, pastries, and cakes.
  • Finishing products to a high standard and ensuring they are ready for sale.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
  • Wrapping and packing cakes, bread, and pastries efficiently.
  • Working as part of a team to meet production targets and maintain high quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is desired, but full training will be provided.
  • Previous experience in a bakery setting is beneficial but not essential.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A flexible approach to work, with a willingness to learn different departments.
  • Reliability and commitment to the role.
